After two issues entirely devoted to articles from 1938-1939 by Aragon in Ce soir, this issue of the Annales returns to a more classic configuration. If he still gives a large place to the texts of Aragon in this same daily after the Liberation, he opens up to other authors and other questions.

N° 20 One day in the world (chronicle of Tonight)
second part: 1939 until the Nazi-Soviet pact
Annales_n°_20.jpg.png

Aragon is not only a poet and a novelist, he is also a journalist and one cannot truly appreciate him in all his dimensions without having read his newspaper articles. Those which were published in Ce soir under the title Un jour du monde from September 1938 are of particular importance because they give his point of view on a crucial period, that which leads to the Second World War. They were until now available only in specialized libraries. The Annals present them. This issue reproduces the texts from 1939, until Ce soir was banned following the German-Soviet pact in August 1939.
